PIG
Twelve illustrations by Max Hattler and Martin Heaton (2000)

Pig is a short story by Roald Dahl. In its unabridged form it appears in his book Kiss, Kiss. This story exudes a fantastical sense of humour, heavy on the dark and short on p.c., with a sensuously visual narrative that begs to be treated with the surreal sense of humour that digital image manipulation can bring to it.

In our visual interpretation of the narrative we have tested the possibilities of the manipulation of real images, taken from the world of the familiar to a much less friendly place, one which celebrates the absurdity of the one whose certainty we take too often for granted.
